FIRST AID FIELD KIT

Even though hunting season is over for me I have already added the first a kit to my Final Rise vest for next year. Thank you, for building products and gear for all of us that love the uplands.

I bought this system to bring organization to my scattered first aid essentials and ensure that I actually have the items I will need in the field should things go south. I've use several items out of this kit and I've been very thankful for the hemostats several times(all you german dog owners know what I'm talking about). Thank you again, Final Rise, for offering a premium product that truly works in the field.

This field kit gives me the peace of mind to know that I can stabilize my dog, do minor treatments until I get them back to my truck where I have a kit to handle trauma better, or to the vet for care if that is required. I have another kit, but this surpasses that in the equipment and it includes and the essentials to get the dog out of the field. I can add items or change out things as I want, but it is a solid kit on its own. I do carry a leatherman for porcupine quills and the forceps in this kit could be helpful for those hard to get quills. Like the concept of a dog carry vest, a first aid kit is equally important. Both my wife and I carry them because they are light, out of the way, and if we need them, essential.

The muzzle provide in this kit is worthless in the event that your dog encounters a porcupine. The developer of this first aid kit should have instead included a simple flat nylon slip lead which actually could be use to remove porcupine quills. The 100 count bottle of diphenhydramine is overkill. It takes up a large amount of space which could better utilized for other items.
