There's no one size fits all approach when it comes to comfort and function. Lucky for you, we've loaded the FINAL RISE System with some simple yet innovative features that allow you to ensure a custom tailored fit. All you need to do is simply select your waist size during checkout and apply the steps outlined in this video to dial in how your vest feels so you can set it, forget and go hunt.
NOTE - We have already factored in layering. Do not size up if your measurements fall within the specified numbers below.
Measuring Midsection For Belt Size:
Using a soft measuring tape, loop the tape behind your lower back, just above your bum, and wrap around to the front, just below the navel. Pair the size/measurement obtained with our sizing for optimal fit. This will ensure the belt sits below the waist on the hips, which will carry the most comfortably.
If you are up the upper end of a belt size, and you'd prefer to have the shell pockets sitting more forward, we recommend sizing up to the next belt size.
Measuring Torso Harness Size:
Using a soft measuring tape, measure from the bony bump on the back of your neck (C7 Vertebrae) to the top of your bum crack. Pair this measurement with the Torso size range on the product pages.
If you are a gentleman or woman with a larger chest area, please opt for the regular harness. This provides the additional length needed as the straps come over the chest area
If you are right at 20", we recommend the regular harness as this will allow the sternum strap to sit low and ensure an open shoulder pocket for a clean gun mount.

Where do I start, craftsmanship and quality is amazing and is exactly what you would expect from Final Rise. The pockets are correctly sized and overall dimentions are great. Opening work perfectly while wearing so that pocket can be open without stuff falling out. I would recommend this harness for anyone looking to stay more mobile or keep hands free while hiking/ creek/ river fishing. I have included some photos to show the unit loaded up for size references. The chest rig is very comfortable with the large straps and you easily forget your wearing it. After using it a few times I cannot express how convenient it is to grab this chest rig, a fly pole, a net and just throw it all in the back seat to go fishing. However the unit is not perfect and I have two criticisms below.
The chest harness falls short in 2 areas;
1) There is no rear attachent loop for a net clip on the harness (see photo). This is a big oversight in my opinion as my Marsupial gear and brother's FHF chest rig both have it. Not sure how i'm going to easily solve this as you can see by the photo the center of the harness strap is rather large. Might be a different style of fishing but in my area this is very common for net attachent for river wading.
2) The second oversight that would have been nice is there is no way to attach additional pouches to the chest harness on the side (see photo). There are times adding side pouches just like on a bino harness would be nice for a radio, or additional storage.
I hope these small easy changes can be addressed in future version for others as they would make this harness a perfect 10/10.
For now I anxiously wait for for future accessores for the interior velcro that apply to fishing. My wish list would include a floatant holder, tippet spool holder/ dispenser, fly patches holder.

Was looking for something other than the traditional fly vest(I own several). The storage compartments are well thought out. It’s cooler in the summer. Quality and craftsmanship top notch. As an upland bird hunter I’ll probably buy a hunting vest as well.
Not too big, not too small, Just right.
Pretty nice pack. It’s a good size to hold the basics for a day of wading. It comfortably holds 3 fly cases, indicators, tippet and my tools with a bit of room to spare.
My one criticism I have is that it would have been easy to be convertible into a waist pack. Or offer a strap separately to be able to set it up that way.
This is the perfect rig for wade fishing. Just the pockets I need without carrying a huge pack on my chest. I love a minimalist profile and this chest rig is perfect. I also like buying American and I knew that Final Rise quality would be top notch.
